The Deepwater Bay Bed & Breakfast is part of a working farm and ranch. We raise durum wheat which is used in pasta, hard red spring wheat which is used for bread and pastry flour, canola which is crushed to make a high grade cooking oil comparable to peanut oil, barley, green peas which are used for both human and livestock consumption, oats, and corn. We also raise F1 black baldy breeding stock.....a cross between Hereford and Angus which is the premier mother cow of the Upper Plains. Our guests are welcome to participate in the day-to-day farming and ranching lifestyle. There is always something interesting going depending on the season from calving, to spring planting, to branding and moving cattle out to pasture, to grain harvest, and hauling in hay.
